Instead Soft Cups
These are nothing new. Women for years have been using these for their menstrual cycles, however now women have realized they can work for conception as well. They hold the sperm close to the cervix after sexual intercourse. These are not the expensive and can be found online, or locally near you. If they hurt you or feel uncomfortable for you , you have them in wrong, which is why it takes practice sometimes with these.
How to insert your Instead Cup
Take your instead cup out of its pouch. Make sure the little cup part is facing the correct way. The little cup part attaches to the rim and you can see how it is supposed to go.
Make an 8 shape
Take the rim of the instead cup and make an 8 shape with your thumb and pointer finger. This will make it easier to put in.
Insert downward
Gently elevate your hips while inserting the instead cup. Scoop down as you are going inside.
It goes up
Your instead cup should slide up towards the cervix, where it needs to go. It should sit high up there to where you cannot feel it. IF you do feel it, there is a chance you inserted it wrong.
You may need to try a few times before getting comfortable with them. They can be intimidating at first, but they do work. They can be left in for up to 12 hours, however most women leave them in for 6-8 hours. You can sleep with them in, urinate with them in, and also do your daily activities with them in.
Where do these exactly go?
A lot of women think that we urinate from our Vaginal Opening. Which is where the instead cup is inserted, and a mans penis. However as you can see in the digram below, the part on which you urinate out of is called the Urethra, which is a completely different hole from your vaginal opening.
You likely cannot get any type of infection using the instead cups, unless you are prone to yeast infections, or leave this product in too long.
